Interlink Foundry is a private-markets marketplace operated by Interlink Foundry LLC, a California limited liability company, which is responsible for the information described here. Founders, investors, business sellers and buyers use it to publish information about themselves and their companies, to be matched with counterparties, and to communicate about potential transactions. This page describes what we collect, why, and what choices you have.
Information you give us
- Account details — username, email address, and password. Passwords are stored hashed, never in readable form.
- Role profile — depending on whether you join as a founder, investor, seller or buyer: company name, sector or industry, stage, location, contact details, and the criteria you use to describe what you are looking for.
- Company and deal material — pitch decks, videos, financial figures, confidential information memoranda, and any documents you upload to a data room.
- Messages — the content of conversations you have with other participants through the platform.
Information collected automatically
- Basic usage events — pages viewed, matches shown, introductions requested — used to operate the marketplace and improve matching.
- Standard technical data your browser sends, such as IP address and user agent.
How your information is used
- To create and operate your account.
- To match you with counterparties and to explain why a match was suggested.
- To generate the analyses and reports you request.
- To let you communicate with other participants you have connected with.
- To send service messages about your account, your connections, and your reports.
- To detect and respond to abuse, fraud, and violations of our terms.
Automated processing
Some analysis on the platform is produced by automated systems, including third-party AI services used to process documents and text you submit. Automated output is informational. It is not investment, financial, legal, tax or accounting advice, and it should not be relied on as the sole basis for a transaction decision. Verify anything material independently.
What happens to documents you upload. When you ask for an analysis, the text of the document is sent to Anthropic, our AI provider, to produce it. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, material sent through their API is not used to train their models, and is deleted from their systems within approximately 30 days. We do not use your documents to train any model of our own, and we do not sell or share them for advertising.
Profile matching runs entirely on our own servers: the model that turns your profile text into the numbers used for matching is hosted by us, so that text is not sent to an AI provider for matching.
Who can see what
- Public — elevator pitches you publish to the public Explore feed are visible to anyone, including people without an account.
- Other signed-in participants — your role profile and the information you chose to put in it.
- Specific counterparties only — data room documents, messages, and anything shared inside a connection or deal room.
- Nobody but you and staff — your email address and account credentials, unless you share them yourself.
You control visibility settings on your profile, including whether your profile is private and whether you accept direct messages.
Staff access to your account
Our staff can open the site as your account to investigate a problem you have reported or to check a complaint. This access is read-only: while viewing as you, staff cannot post, send a message, change your profile, accept or decline anything on your behalf, or obtain access to your chat. Any attempt to do so is refused by the system, not merely discouraged by policy.
Every such session is recorded — which staff member, which account, and when it started and ended — and that record is kept permanently, including after either account is deleted, so the access can always be reviewed. Staff accounts cannot be viewed this way by other staff. Browsing done this way is never counted as your own activity in your profile views, analytics or notifications.
Service providers
We use third parties to run the service — currently Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI analysis), Stream (chat), Resend (email delivery), Amazon Web Services (file storage) and Sentry (error monitoring) — including payment processing, messaging and chat infrastructure, email delivery, file storage, error monitoring, and AI analysis. They receive only what they need to perform their function. We do not sell your personal information.
Payments
Payments are processed by our payment provider. Card numbers are handled by that provider and are not stored on our systems.
Retention
We keep your information while your account is active. You can archive or delete your profile, or delete your whole account, from your settings.
Deleting your account permanently removes your account, profiles, documents, reports, connections and the messages you sent, and cancels any subscription. Some records are kept without your identity: anonymous usage statistics, and reports filed by or about you, which keep only the username a report was filed against so it can still be reviewed. Our payment provider keeps its own payment records. Uploaded files and chat data are removed shortly after deletion.
Your choices
- Access, correct, or delete your profile information from your account settings.
- Make your profile private, or turn direct messages off.
- Unpublish an elevator pitch at any time.
- Delete your account from your settings at any time.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information. Contact us and we will respond.
Security
Access to documents, data rooms and conversations is restricted to the participants involved. No system is perfectly secure; please use good judgment about what you upload, particularly before a counterparty relationship is established.
Children
Interlink Foundry is not intended for anyone under 18.
